DAMAC Properties was established in 2002 by the DAMAC Group of Companies, following the introduction of freehold ownership rights for expatriates in Dubai. Its founder is Hussain Sajwani. Its first project was Marina Terrace in Dubai Marina in 2002, followed by Ocean Heights and Park Towers in 2004. DAMAC listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2015 and joined the MSCI UAE Index in 2017.
